Well it's not for me anyways it's for moms but yeah before you start judging me for being an ass stop or go ahead whatever.
We live in the part of the world where we do stuff everyday to make our moms happy. We do chores, gossip with her on family relatives, listen to her work woes etc etc.We fight we argue we fight and argue some more and we bond. No matter what we do we keep ourselves engaged with our mom's.We don't leave them in foster homes when they are old and when we are young they make sure we are not out of the home often. So we have all the moments and quality times. In our not so lovable actions and on non special days like everyday we do gestures to make our moms feel loved,we make them laugh and do stupid/crazy stuff so that they feel what special kids they gave birth too.We give them things to be proud of us on more then just one day but every other day.
We don't do this one day running and hugging telling her oh we love you so because that might leave our moms in shock and some serious awkward moments ( my mom would prolly think I have gone mad or she'd hand me more chores being sarcastic in her own special way).
So no I don't wish my mum or anything and yeah she is totally fine with it.
These mother's, father', children's, grandmothers day they don't work for us because we are working them every single day all of us in our own special ways.

ReplyDeleteThis makes me sad...
I hate this about my western culture : (
That we prove our love through words and not actions, that we send our parents away.
I will defy this sad way ...
My Mr. always says what you said ... if he ever said 'I love you' to his parents they'd think he's gone mad! And the bond he has with his family puts me into awe ... the love for his parents.
try developing the bond with your mom and maybe you will have one with your kids too :)
ReplyDeletesee thats what I say. I don't believe in these days either. I have out with my mom every day ...on the breakfast counter before I go to work and again when i am back from work.probably everyday .... i never celebrate these days. Never really liked the idea for some reason.
