Wealth has no permanence: it comes in the morning,
and at night it is scattered to the winds.
Physical beauty too has no importance,
for a rosy face is made pale by the scratch of a single thorn.
Noble birth also is of small account,
for many become fools of money and horses.
Many a nobleman's son has disgraced his father by his wicked deeds.
Don't court a person full of talent either,
even if he seems exquisite in that respect:
take warning from the example of Iblis1 .
Iblis had knowledge, but since his love was not pure,
he saw in Adam nothing but a figure of clay.
- Rumi .
I posted this elsewhere as a comment but I find it appropriate to write it here too.
ReplyDeletebut first I'll say a few things about the actual post.
Great Poetry. And I really don't disagree with any of the points that you've made overall.

Show Me The Right Path - The Path of Those Who Gain Your Love, and not of those who Catch Your Wrath.
May Be Someday we'll start to appreciate what we truly have and forget everything that we don't have for the good of our own self.
May be Someday we'll be free from the clutches of our ego, the clutches of our tongue and the ones who think they are free but they are being manipulated by our biased society.
May be Someday we'll be able to think about others, and pray that God shows mercy to all of us.
For we all came in this world with equal statuses, we all are going to leave this world with equal statuses. The only thing which will determine our fate are the Good Deeds which we do, which we have done, and those which will happen.
Love this verse
"My Lord! Open up for me my heart. And ease for me my task. And untie the knot of my tongue.
That they may understand my speech.
Qur'an - 20:25-28"
Take Care.
